Abstract
In March 2018, the level of inequality of Jawa Timur population expenditure as measured by Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.379. This figure decreased by 0.036 points when compared with Gini Ratio September 2017 which amounted to 0.415. In March 2018, the distribution of expenditure of the lowest 40 percent population group was 17.74 percent. This means that the population expenditure is in the category of low level of inequality. Similarly, if detailed by region, population expenditure in both urban and rural areas is in the category of low inequality. In urban areas the figure was 17.34 percent, and in rural areas it was recorded at 19.96 percent.
